In 2020, as the world slowed and everything familiar seemed to shift, I found myself searching for meaning in the quiet. What started as a global pause became an unexpected turning point. One forgotten coffee table, a five-dollar Facebook find, and a little curiosity sparked something I didn’t know I needed.

That first project was a simple bench. My daughter said it wasn’t worth saving, but I saw potential. With a bit of trial, error, and determination, I transformed it into something beautiful. I didn’t realize it then, but that small act of restoration would grow into a passion and eventually a purpose.

Since that moment, I’ve refinished and rehomed hundreds of vintage furniture pieces. Every item is given a second life, saved from the landfill, and restored with care. What I do is about more than paint and repair. It’s about intention, sustainability, and honoring the craftsmanship of the past while creating something lasting for the future.

Purposely Refurbished exists because I believe in the power of reuse. I believe that beauty can be restored, that character is worth preserving, and that we all have a part to play in reducing waste and protecting our environment.
